Mord Ombord

Poster & promotional graphics for "Mord Ombord", a touring one-man theatre about Charles Francis Hall's disasterous polar expedition of 1871.

Following a successful partnership around the soviet-era play "Bränn Dessa Rader", producer Agnes Matsdotter tasked us with creating graphics for "Mord Ombord" on a tight deadline. At the core of this project was matching and respecting the play's subject matter, tone and era, whilst remaining competitive by modern standards.

After some initial moodboarding & brainstorming together with the client, we delivered 5 sketches, which we then used to narrow down the right look. The final product draws inspiration from 1800's typesetting and Hall's adventurous spirit, whilst being targeted towards a younger, theatre-savvy audience.
